About the Jerome City Fire Department
The Jerome City Fire Department proudly protects nearly 9,000 people living and working in an area of 5.7 square miles, operating out of 3 stations. The department is a combination department made up of career and paid on call firefighters. Our ISO rating is 3.
Mission Statement
To serve without prejudice or favoritism all of the community’s citizens by safeguarding collectively and individually their lives and property against injurious effects of fire, explosions and other related hazards.
The Jerome City Fire Department consists of 10 career and 25 paid on call employees. The Department responds to fire, vehicle extrication, medical aid, rescue and hazardous materials events. We are dispatched through the Southern Idaho Regional Communications Center (SIRCOMM), an enhanced 911 facility.
