Chief of Police

 

Dan Hall joined the City of Jerome as Chief of Police in February of 2004.  Dan is a native of Southern Idaho and grew up in the Magic Valley.

 

Prior to joining the Jerome Police Department, Dan served for nearly twenty years with the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office as a detention deputy, patrol deputy, patrol commander, law enforcement commander, and support services commander.  In addition to his law enforcement career, Dan served in the U.S. Army, the Idaho Army National Guard, and the Idaho Air National Guard. Dan retired from the Idaho Air National Guard in 2002 after twenty-two years of both active and reserve military service.

 

Dan holds basic, intermediate, advanced, supervisory, and management certifications through the Idaho Peace Officers Standards and Training Council.  Dan received an Associate of Arts degree in Law Enforcement from the College of Southern Idaho and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Organizational Leadership from George Fox University.  Dan is also a graduate of the Northwestern University Traffic Institute School of Police Staff and Command.
