Fire Department Burn Permit Application
Recreational fires do not require a burning permit, however you must still practice safe burning. Recreational fires are defined as follows: A fire for burning of materials other than garbage or refuse where the fuel being burned is contained in an approved incinerator, outdoor fireplace or barbecue pit and with a total fuel area of three feet (3') or less in diameter and two feet (2') or less in height for pleasure, religious, ceremonial, cooking or similar purposes.

By completing the form, you agree to follow the conditions and requirements of the Jerome City Code Section 8-22 and the Jerome City Open Burning Rules. Do not burn when wind exceeds 10 mph. Prior to burning, always check DEQ Air Quality web site, to ensure burning is permitted.
