An audiobook download service being offered to Jerome Public Library card holders. It provides access to thousands of audiobook titles published by Recorded Books. Titles are available no matter how many other patrons are reading (listening to) it!
We now have eBooks available! Although the selection is still small, your input is important to us. Let us know which books you would like to see available. Download an eBook to your iPad, iPhone, Nook tablet, Kindle Fire HD, or computer. Visit the website for instructions and download the available apps.

eCIS Job Resource
The library currently has 2 active book clubs. Each group member makes a book choice for a specific month and leads that discussion with plenty of input from other group members. No membership fees or registration in required. Simply locate and read the book and join the discussion.
Classic Book Club
This group meets the first Wednesday each month.
The book to read through the month of April is gothic novel The House of the Seven Gables by Nathaniel Hawthorne. The next meeting is scheduled for May 7th at the library on at 7:00 p.m. As an added bonus, treats are provided.
Contemporary Fiction Book Club
This group meets on the first Monday of each month. W.E.B. Griffith's Hazardous Duty is the April book choice. Although this is part of a series, we decided that the books did not have to be read in order. Hazardous Duty was co-authored by Griffin's son, William E. Butterworth IV.
The discussion is planned for Monday, May 5th. We will be meeting at the library at 7:00 pm.
Small, Smaller and Smallest!
Have you noticed the print shrinking in the books you read? Come peruse our vast selection of Large Print fiction and non-fiction area. We offer a variety of genres ranging from Christian Fiction the Westerns to Mysteries.

This is a very popular resource at our library, and new titles are constantly being added or updated. Books are available on CD. Also, if you are unable to read standard printed material, check if you are eligible for the Talking Book Service from the Idaho Commission for Libraries. Our library participates in the Interlibrary Loan system. This system allows patrons to request books that may not be part of our local library system. These books are allowed to be borrowed from other libraries for a 2 week period, patrons are limited to 2 interlibrary loans per month. There is no charge for interlibrary loan however, a $1 donation is greatly appreciated for the postage cost.
We provide test proctoring at our Library and all staff is able to proctor all tests. The Library doesn't charge for test proctoring services however, your school may ask you to provide an envelope and pay postage to return the exam to them. Tests can be sent to the Library through the mail. Post paid envelopes to return the test to your school must be provided by the school or the student. You also are able to to take online exam through the internet, passwords and information can be sent to email@example.com. Call the Library for more information or to make an appointment to take a test.
Friends of Jerome Public Library
The Friends of the Jerome Public Library offer many services that benefit the Library on an annual basis. They contribute funds for all the programming in the library ranging from Children's Summer Reading to Adult book talks. Some funds go toward special book projects and programming. Many of ther funds are patron generated from book donations and the Friends bookstore sales. The book store is located between the computer area and the adult fiction section. Among the selection are many new and gently used books that array from the newest James patterson series to a childrens book from you childhood. Prices vary from 25 cents to $2.00.
The Friends also hose a bi-annual book/bake sale to promote the library.

We offer a variety of Spanish resources at the Jerome Public Library. We have a Spanish library section that contains a variety of books; non-fiction, fiction, children's, young adult, audio visual and bilingual books. Thanks to a recent grant from the local El Collectivo and Catholic Charities of Idaho we were able to expand our collection and offer the software, Rosetta Stone, in both English and Spanish. Rosetta stone software is available for all patrons to use, please check in at the front desk prior to using this program or please call (208) 324-5427 to reserve the Language Learning Center for a specific time.
