Police Department
Our mission is to keep the city safe, be proactive, provide excellent service, and contribute to a positive work environment. We value integrity, respect, and quality.
Message from the Chief
The City of Jerome is a great place to live, work and raise a family. The Jerome Police Department strives to maintain the safe and secure atmosphere we enjoy, providing a variety of police services to the Jerome community, including keeping the peace, law enforcement, criminal investigation and other services to promote public safety.
The Police Department achieves excellence through solid leadership and effective selection, training, and retention of quality police employees. Members of the Police Department are encouraged not only to respond to crime, but also to work with the community to solve problems and reduce the effects and fear of crime. We at Jerome Police Department perform our duties with integrity and professionalism. We are proud of our community and the partnerships we enjoy with community members and area law enforcement agencies.

News & Events
Idaho Office of Highway Safety
April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month. To help improve safety on our roads, the Idaho legislature passed a law last year banning the use of handheld electronic devices while driving - even while temporarily stopped at a traffic signal or stop sign. Officers spent the second half 2020 educating drivers about the new law and in January 2021 they began issuing citations.
Inattentive driving is an illegal and dangerous behavior and it has no place on our roads. Our officers are out doing their part to end distracted driving involved crashes, we hope the public does their part too by choosing to put away distractions and to drive engaged.
Joining Forces
Joining Forces is a group of service organizations, community groups and law enforcement that have come together to provide support and resources for Veterans. Joining Forces Magic Valley was formed to develop a better understanding of the services available in the Magic Valley for military veterans and their families and be a source to help the veteran find that needed service.
Joining Forces Magic Valley also provides a forum for the partners to learn what services each has to offer and develop a bond to serve the veterans of our community. If you have any questions visit the Magic Valley website.
