Benefit Information

All regular full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for benefits.  All employees, except for seasonal employees, working 20 or more hours are required to participate in the Public Employers Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI).

Compensation Model


The City of Jerome provides employees with a very generous benefits package.  The City pays 100% of employee's medical, vision and dental premiums.  The employee pays 50% of dependent(s) premiums.

The City observes ten (10) holidays with pay during the calendar year:
  1. New Year’s Day (January 1)
  2. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday/Human Rights Day (3rd Monday in January)
  3. President’s Day (3rd Monday in February)
  4. Memorial Day (Last Monday in May)
  5. Independence Day (July 4)
  6. Labor Day (1st Monday in September)
  7. Veteran’s Day (November 11)
  8. Thanksgiving (4th Thursday in November)
  9. Day after Thanksgiving
  10. Christmas Day (December 25)
