Title: Fire Chief

The City of Jerome is excited to announce that Jeremy Presnell was appointed as the Deputy Fire Chief on October 15, 2013. The position has been vacant since former Deputy Fire Chief Tom Hughes was appointed to the Fire Chief position.

Fire Career
Deputy Presnell has been with the Jerome Fire Department since September 2008. He is currently the most senior fire officer within the department below the Chief and has worked in the deputy chief capacity on and off when the Deputy position was vacant in 2012 and 2013. Deputy Presnell gained training and experience prior to joining the Jerome Fire Department with his service as a firefighter in the United States Air Force.

Deputy Presnell is a native to the Magic Valley. He grew up in Glenns Ferry and graduated from Glenns Ferry High School before joining the United States Air Force. After he completed his service, he returned to the Magic Valley. He is currently finishing his bachelor’s degree in Fire Administration.

Personal Information
Deputy Presnell lives in Jerome with his wife Brandy and son Gage. Chief Hughes stated “Jeremy is a great asset to the department. His experience serving in Jerome and in the military makes our team stronger. We are excited to have such a hardworking, community minded and well respected individual serve in this position”.
